She founded ADAAWE, women of the voice and drum, toured the U.S., and performed locally at venues including the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion and John Anson Ford Amphitheater, and opened for artists like James Brown, Michael Franti and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. A master teaching artist, Wilkinson developed and taught arts curriculum with leading organizations and created theater and music performances with at risk youth for over 15 years. In 2010, Wilkinson was recognized by the LA DCA with an Artist-In-Residence grant. She also created professional development programs incorporating arts integration and brain-based learning, and has presented workshops for leading arts organizations including The Skirball, PS Arts and the LA Actors Fund. As a creative consultant, Wilkinson designs and delivers professional development for educators, helping schools and teachers integrate arts learning into core academics. In 2014, Wilkinson joined Grand Vision Foundation to direct their Meet the Music program. She strengthened it with a standards-based curriculum, high level teaching artists, teacher professional development and classroom guides, while greatly expanding its programmatic reach and funding. In a senior staff capacity, Wilkinson participated in the Executive Service Corps' Developing Development Program, The Nonprofit Partnership's Sustainability Planning cohort, and the LA County Arts Commission's the Art of Leadership cohort. In 2019, Wilkinson became Grand Vision's Arts Education and Development Specialist, and as of 2023, is now serving as Development and Advancement Officer.
