    Tesla May 2024 - Aug 2024
    Fremont, California, United States
Manufacturing Mechanical Engineering Intern: Designing, manufacturing, and commissioning equipment to support the production of current and new builds.1- BL5 skid rail weldment (white steel) designed, developed, and installed within the month doing a quick analysis and design to send out to fabricate to vendors to install during our shutdown window.2- FEM LiftAssist Installed, and Commissioned! Commissioned this lift assist utilizing vendors to install new platforms and rail system where I had to be on top of them to ensure progress was being met as well as working closely with our Controls team to ensure they’re making progress and met the timelines to trial the lift. Which worked amazingly!3- During the shutdown commissioning various projects being the lead mechanical engineer on call! I had to quickly design and fabricate components or parts to ensure our projects are in track!4-OPAL RoofGlass managed the urethane quality and path of new glass being present later on that I had to manage the team to ensure this task is done as soon as possible offline before we use it during production!5- OPAL Second row seats as the Lead Mechanical Engineer I had to validate if this part is production ready and see what we need to do to install it on the car but do to the design the 27degrees they want to ship it out to is not ideal leaving me millimeters to install! I requested 23 degrees and tasked the design them for tests on quality with that angle. 6- FNL FULL AUTO proposed a cell that will be fully automated that can cut large headcount by automating wheels, windshield, and RoofGlass! Doing it in sections for us not to interfere with the production line!7- Also Designed various tooling, components, and Datum Features using Solidworks for upcoming changes to ensure part is secured and meeting quality! 3D printed prototypes from materials that was best suited for the application before final design for Fabrication.
  • Spacex
    Launch Hardware Engineer
    Spacex Jan 2024 - May 2024
    Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States
Mechanical Engineer:Conducted Preliminary Design Reviews and Critical Design Reviews to ensure proper buyoff from associated teams before install and for any feedback or changes that may need to be made onto the design.● Worked closely with the welding team during build phase to ensure a proper and successful installation of the hardware designed.● Utilized NX to develop designs to support the fairings, launch pads (reaction fixtures), and strong-backs (TE).● Demonstrated structural analysis using ANSYS and calculations to evaluate our design meets our required specification and need case. Validating all axial and moment loads, as any sizing of torque, welding, or anchoring needed for the design.● Released various GD&T drawings calling proper dimensioning and weld callouts to ensure proper fabrication and build instructions of the design.- Designed and implemented new blast protection doors highly critical project to protect electrical conduit and LOX equipment on the launch pads during launch. As well as minimizing maintenance windows by making them ergonomic and easy to open. Calculated the hinge placement to ensure our axial, pressure, and moment loads are able to handle the weight of the door and blast from the Boosters.- Designed and implemented a TE lift pinner blast protection to incorporate a torqued down window to inspect associated hardware to decrease maintenance time due to aiming for a 69hr pad turnaround time.- Designed, implemented, and calculated a few permanent blast rated platforms to service sensors and associated hardware.- Reinforced the Falcon Heavy DanceFloor to help support the techs and pad teams to service the reaction fixture.-Fairing Tool Analysis to evaluate if the current tool used for the f9 is able to hold the new long fairing design. Implement static and solids calculations to ensure I utilize proper loads and CG to each pin location on the tool to evaluate its stress and failure points.
