Collaborating under contract with Transport Canada’s Transportation of Dangerous (TDG) Secretariat, providing strategic communications advice and issues management. Main duties:•Plan, develop, implement and coordinate the provision of national integrated issues management, consultation and information frameworks, strategies, services, products and activities such as program research, development of senior management information/briefing products, and communications advice for the national TDG Program;•Plan, develop and coordinate briefing documents and backgrounders, and other information support materials (e.g. Briefing Notes, Backgrounders, Scenario Notes, Question Period cards, briefing presentations) to accurately reflect the issues emerging and to assist senior departmental officials and the Minister's Office in managing high-profile and public issues related to the transportation of dangerous goods and the TDG program; •Coordinate, provide input, draft and review of responses to ADMO requests including requests originating from DMO, Minister’s Office, Parliamentary Affairs, Cabinet Affairs, Strategic Policy/International Relations and others;•Conduct research, analysis and special studies to strategically and proactively assess the environment and emerging trends and issues of the TDG Program at the national level HQ/Regions and the Department must operate, to advise and make recommendations to the Manager TDG Secretariat and close collaboration with CT Communications Group;•Lead and participate in working groups and committees and administer contract resources and administrative requirements for projects and initiatives.
