Co Teach EDL 600 - Principles of Educational Administration (School Law & Finance)This course focuses on various management issues relative to school leadership, including an understanding of legal and financial principles important to the functions of school and district leaders along with policies and practices for technology integration in the pre K-12 classroom, school and/or district.The Master’s in Education Leadership with an emphasis in Technology is a collaboration between San Diego State University and the San Diego County Office of Education. This WASC accredited, fully-online M.A. is designed for school administrators and teachers who aspire to a leadership role in educational technology within their school, district or county office of education.

Student Wrap Around Services and Partnerships• Led a team to negotiate and collaborate with school district to lease a facility for our innovative programs AND to pilot a student transition program as a pre-expulsion for local district. • Reestablished county districts (e.g. Sweetwater, Vista, San Ysidro, San Diego Unified) partnerships by facilitating and collaborating new programs concepts to ensure Service and Leadership with Restorative Justice. • Collaborated, coached and co-facilitated Principals to establish new Memo’s of Agreement (e.g. Boys and Girls Club of Escondido, Project AWARE) to establish student wraparound services.

Principal (Founder), Successfully founded, designed, implemented, planned and evaluated an academic, social and personal school which opened, in fall 2007. The Title I school with 600 diverse students in grades six through eight is continuing to reach its potential with Academic Performance Index (API) 906 and Similar/State Rank 10/10. Implemented a fiscally responsible budget with creative use of categorical, general and grant funding to open a new school under historically difficult state and federal economic hardships.Instituted an “E-waste” prevention model to establish a sustainable educational technology. Successfully managed start up budget and acquired grants ranging from 4 million to $90,000. Established an articulation agreement between Vista High School and Casita Center Elementary Magnet School to ensure that incoming and exiting students are transitioning well academically and socially. Served as one of four assistant principals at a public high school with over 3,500 students. Assignmentsincluded discipline, attendance, supervision and performance evaluation of assigned staff; coordination, AVID, ELD, campus security and safety, testing, library services, information technology, sport and event supervision, and curriculum development. · Successfully co wrote and earned a Character Counts, Safe Schools Initiative Grant, Teaching Tolerance Grant, and a California Department of Education Secondary Specialized Program Grant. · Managed various budgets (categorical/grants) ranging from 2 million to $40,000. Created and led a Student Centered Attendance Poster Campaign. The students won Best in Class and Best in Show at the Del Mar/San Diego's 2006 County Fair. Taught Guidance 45 which is: Designed to teach students about college and about RCC. Students develop an Educational Plan that allows them to accomplish their academic goals. Additionally, students become familiar with all the support services on campus. Moreover, students are introduced academic and occupational programs, college resources and personal factors that contribute to success as a college student. This course includes an extensive exploration of Riverside Community College District resources and policies, orientation to college life, student rights and responsibilities, as well as certificates, graduation and transfer requirements. Students will prepare a Student Educational Plan (S.E.P.). As a result of class activities and exploration of factors influencing educational decision, class members will be able to utilize the information obtained in class to contribute to their college success. 18 hours lecture
