Making things happen!I am currently the Chairman of Invexcel, an independent Financial Advisor aimed at families’ and individuals’ wealth preservation with a specific focus on value investing, which I co-founded in 2010. I also serve as Vice Chairman of Círculo de Empresarios, arguably the most influential think-tank and entrepreneur’s association in Spain, and hold a board position on Puerto Punta Portals, one of the leading marinas across the Mediterranean. Additionally, my spare time is dedicated to making Club Deal investments and writing on economic and political issues published in national media outlets such as Expansión, ABC, La Razón and The Objective.Over 30 years of my career have been dedicated to Private Equity and Venture Capital, Wealth Management, Board membership, mainly in Europe and partially in the United States.This journey started out in the late 1980’s, after my first MBO when I was invited to lead the Bemberg Group’s Venture Capital activity in Spain and became a member of its Southern Europe Investment Committee. Shortly thereafter, in 1992, I teamed-up with Rothschilds to found Excel Partners and raise three Private Equity Funds until 2006. A whole generation of investments was then completed in different industries in Spain, Germany, Portugal, Morocco, France, and the United States. The funds were invested in companies such as Duplico, Banco Alcalá, Lhysa-Autex and Expert Maschinenbau, which were divested to entities such as Rank Xerox, La Caixa, Kimberly-Clark and BAT Industries. Over the years, I have joined Teka Industrial as Director and Advisor to the Chairman, as well as becoming a member of AGBAR’s Advisory Board and being Operating Partner and member of the Advisory Board for the first fund of GPF Capital. I have also contributed to the development of the Venture Capital and Private Equity industries through my participation in the boards of both EVCA (European Venture Capital Association), and ASCRI (Spanish Venture Capital Association), where I was Chairman. All of these experiences have proved key in defining Invexcel’s activity and its specialization in value investing.
