Diving into the world of emerging technologies as part of my role in the European Innovation Team. Recruited to develop and maintain the Spanish IT Strategy as well as integrating this strategy with European and Global Strategies in the real estate business. Responsible for relationship management between the IT function and the Spanish business. Prioritizing and obtaining funding for high level investments at group level and measuring the related business cases. Promoted to head a 20-member team in the strategic oversight of the complete information technology function. Drive a renewed organisational focus on increasing the added value of the IT division via service delivery optimization and a realignment of IT initiatives to better serve business priorities. Ensure the seamless day-to-day performance of the IT infrastructure and related services. Recruit and develop top IT talent, handle third-party supplier relationships, and manage the corporate IT investment portfolio.

Promoted to serve as the chief strategic IT resource for the company’s senior executive leadership team in the planning and delivery of both short- and long-range IT infrastructure enhancements in support of exponential corporate growth. Managed up to 16 team members to identify, prioritize, and execute programmes focused on such wide-ranging IT issues as network security, telecom, capacity planning, and systems development. Continually assessed and improved IT governance strategies, processes, and policies to ensure the IT department was well-equipped to meet the ever-changing demands of this dynamic business operation.

Recruited as a key member of the Spanish corporate launch team, reporting directly to this start-up’s General Manager in the establishment of all IT infrastructure and operational systems. Negotiated contracts with third-party service providers and hired / trained the company’s first IT team members.
