These ATEs are based on Crestron Control Systems, PXI (include Scopes, DMMs, matrix switcher, Mux switchers, 24 bit Dynamic range), NI usb/Ethernet CompactDAQs as well as other instrumentation including Scopes, Spectrum Analyzers, RF power meters and switchers, Vector Scopes, Audio Precision (APx), Video generator and Analyzers, AC/DC Programmable power supplies, Virginia Panel and Tyco mass interconnection systems. These designs contributed to decrease time to market on new product introductions (NPI) and simplified notoriously the root cause analysis of process and product faults. As an example the Digital Media (DM) automation project supports the most important product line of the company. This is a fully automated multislot test setup rack with a generic design to cover fourteen different products. The automation increased productivity in all tests. In some of the UUTs the test time was reduced from 20 min average to 5 min. The total of 27 racks have been deployed to our US facility and abroad capable of moving 4000+ products daily in two work shifts.
