For reasons no one in my family understood, I always wanted to be a car designer, a challenging dream growing up in Spain in the 80s. When I won a scholarship competition to study at ACCD., my life changed. I started my design career working in concept cars for companies like Audi, Ford, and GM. My first one, 98% recyclable, already showed an interest in clean mobility and a bit of my rebellious side. We launched it at MOCA, won an IDSA award, and no one cared because who cared about electric cars back in 2002?It was in California that some friends introduced me to entrepreneurship (a word that didn't exist growing up). I missed the dot-com boom, but by the time the first clean tech wave started, I was ready. I quit my corporate job and started an EV-sharing company. It didn't get off the ground, but I was hooked. I discovered many of the talents needed as a designer (creativity, passion, a curious mind, problem-solving, consumer empathy, hard work, salesmanship) were transferable to a founder role.Already with a family, I moved to London, where I ended up leading an advanced product team at Ford while getting an MBA. Entrepreneurship called again, and after starting watt-r (a for-profit social enterprise for the 660 million without access to water), I joined an autonomous mobility startup as European Director. When the AV bubble popped, I started zumocharge, a company to help city-dwellers without a driveway charge their electric cars.This brings me to Streetscope, where I'm joining the founding team to help them grow into their next phase. Operations in an early-stage startup is a bit of everything: project management, website & comms, product, strategy, revenue model, procurement, business development.
