Joseph Geagea is a business professional with around 35 years of multidisciplined experience covering mainly Oil and Gas downstream industry, Management & Insurance Consultancy.He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the American University of Beirut-1987.He started his career overseas where he gained an enriching international experience. In 1993, he decided to move back to Lebanon where he can be part of the youth’ energy in the rebuilding of his beloved homeland.He actively worked in the oil and gas downstream industry, for around 20 years; He held high managerial positions & responsibilities within multinational companies.As CEO he was in charge of the full management of the downstream operations covering importation, storing & handling, logistics & service stations network, ensuring high profitability to all stakeholders in a highly volatile market.Joseph was a key player behind the foundation of “APIC” the Association of Petroleum Importing Companies in Lebanon, where he held the position of vice–President and board member for several years.He presided the Tourism Board of The “Cedars-Bcharreh Casa” in Lebanon, and launched the “International Cedars Festival” in 2015. He was also, a member in “RDCL” the Lebanese Businessmen Association.Joseph Geagea had always believed in the strong interrelation of business lines revolving around business acumen people and advanced technology.In 2013 he established Gëcon Holding sal, a multi-discipline company with a mission statement revolving around “Synergy of resources”, and focusing on “Valuing Customer Mind & Time”.Gëcon Holding currently has two active subsidiaries “Gecon Insurance Brokers” & “Gecon sal”.
