Registered Nurse with Bachelors in Nursing currently on my 2nd year since November 2015 working with Legacy Healthcare in one of their facilities in Lincoln Park in Chicago as Wound care nurse.With 4 years of experience in working with Long term care patients in rehab facilities. I have been to one other company before Legacy Healthcare. I am efficient in operating electronic clinical charting programs such as Matrix and PointClickCare and other Microsoft programs being used on the job.I am very comfortable working with the elderly and caring for them in their current stage in life. I am familiar with the common illnesses that they experience and how to deal with them. Currently working as wound care nurse, I am especially concerned on the prevention rather than healing certain wounds that are common with the elderly.Caring for the elderly has been fulfilling for me. Seeing them healthy and happy because of the care that we nurses give to them is a great feeling to have. I consider it an honor to take care of these people because at one point in their lives, they were like us too. Working to make a living or to support their family. It's time for them to take a step back and spend the rest of their lives doing what they have always wanted to do and let US take care of them whenever they need it.
