With over two decades of experience in the biotechnology industry, I am a seasoned Senior Director of Quality Assurance known for my expertise in both internal and external manufacturing processes. Throughout my career, I have built a reputation for effectively managing site operations and ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance (QA) while fostering the development of high-performing teams.My core competencies include a comprehensive understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good x Practice (GxP), as well as proficiency in deviation management, human error reduction, and corrective action/preventive action (CAPA) strategies. I am deeply passionate about cultivating talent and have a track record of mentoring individuals to excel within their roles, ultimately contributing to the success of the teams I lead.In my current role as Senior Director of Good Manufacturing Practice Quality Assurance Operations at Moderna, I oversee critical on-the-floor activities to ensure the timely delivery of clinical and commercial drug substances. Managing a diverse team of 50 full-time employees and contractors, I am responsible for resource planning, budget management, and maintaining regulatory compliance.Prior to my current position, I held leadership roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Sanofi Genzyme Corporation, where I spearheaded initiatives such as the commissioning and qualification of new manufacturing facilities and the implementation of quality systems. I have extensive experience in managing contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) both domestically and internationally.Outside of my professional endeavors, I am an avid runner(until injury) and cyclist, having completed multiple Boston Marathons and actively supporting initiatives such as the Sanofi Genzyme Running for Rare Diseases team.
