My passion is helping employers change their mindset from crisis management to crisis prevention. Helping companies control health care costs and fostering employee engagement is essential for attracting and retaining quality talent (not to mention increased profits). I share my expertise through speaking engagements, educational opportunities, and connecting with local business owners and CEOs. I am an active member of the Association for Enterprise Growth, a DC-based professional networking organization. I am a founding sponsor of Executive Leaders Radio and a longtime philanthropist for Children's National Hospital, Brain Tumor Society and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. As a lifelong entrepreneur, I began washing windows at age twelve in New Jersey, and evolved a simple task into my own business called Joe’s Window Washing Service. My entrepreneurial spirit continues to expand.After college, I began working in the insurance business, where it took only a few years for me to recognize I did not like the way large insurance companies operated.In 1990 I started Potomac Companies, Inc. with the mission to make a difference in people’s lives, by focusing on individuals' unique needs and building long-standing client relationships.
