Lead Flutter Developer / Software EngineerRacquet Rivalry Oct 2021 - PresentDenver, Co, UsEnd-to-end, cross-platform app development: from initial concept to live in the App Store, Play Store, and web. The app is developed with Flutter/Dart.•Development and design. Concept design plus all front & back-end development for the application using Flutter and Dart. Finding local tennis players at an equivalent skill level can be challenging. The Racquet Rivalry app matches local, similarly-skilled racquet and paddle sports players with each other.•Software architecture. Racquet Rivalry was built with Clean Architecture principles that separate the Flutter app into four layers: presentation, services, models, and repositories. This follows the single responsibility principle and keeps user interface components, database operations, data models, web services, screen views, and styling for long-term maintainability, scalability, and extensibility.•Data structure design & implementation. All data models are built in Dart. The Cloud Firestore (NoSQL) database integration uses Dart and the Firebase Flutter SDK. The database is modeled with some redundancy for efficient use, low read volumes, and maximum information availability for the end user.•Global geohashing algorithm. This geohashing algorithm is built in Dart, getting the user's device or custom location within the Flutter app. Custom location is also implemented using Dart and the Google Places API.•User account Setup & Authentication with Flutter, Dart, and Firebase Authentication. User authentication options include email, Google, Sign in with Apple, and Facebook to simplify user signups.•Google Cloud Functions integration for push messaging. These are written in Typescript and use the Firebase Cloud Messaging platform.•App store compliance and continuous improvement. All Apple App Store & Google Play Store requirements were met to take the app live. Ongoing improvements require full compliance. These improvements include performance optimization, UX optimization, and bug fixes.
