Taught 4 week, front-end web development class, open to anybody in the community willing to learn (professionals, students, etc.).

Instructor for intensive 5-week boot camp for software development interns at CCEW. Taught the basics of iOS development, from foundations of objective-c and Xcode, to Interface design, to data storage and networking.The project during Spring 2016 consisted of first launching a prototype iOS application that helps aspiring Chinese-to-English speakers pronounce words in English correctly, and continually implementing new features and improving on current ones based on user feedback.Along with leading the boot camp, I was the technical mentor for the team, providing advice and a guiding hand where needed, along with more specific technical leadership such as code and architecture reviews.

Managed a group of 4 software development interns, primarily guiding them in the development of the software project, driving features and helping architect the whole solution. Our project involved developing two mobile apps (iOS and Android) for a local startup company called Medefy, a company introducing price transparency into the healthcare industry. We worked in conjunction with a group of 4 business analysts who were researching an expansion strategy for Medefy while providing some more feature requirements through analysis of competitors' apps.While providing assistance where needed as the interns learn iOS, I also taught them Android development (based on my past experience and research) to enable them to develop the Android application.As team lead, I was also the primary point of contact among all participating members of this project, including the founders of Medefy, Medefy's developers, our development interns, and CCEW staff, while promoting open communication among all members of the entire team, including the business side.

Software Engineering Intern under the Cloud and Enterprise division of Microsoft, specifically in the Information Management and Machine Learning (IMML) group, on the Azure Data Catalog (ADC) team.ADC, in short, helps enterprise customers with enormous amounts of data more easily organize it in Azure Cloud, allowing them to upload metadata about, annotate, and discover their data, among other useful tasks.

During this summer internship I worked with another software development intern on new features in an application called Monitor for FIS. This application essentially monitors processes, servers, and transactions of FIS systems and applications, putting it all together in a dashboard for an administrator to use. We added a feature that tracks the status of other FIS components. We also added the ability to monitor the state of servers and machines containing and/or running FIS processes.From then till the end of my term there, collaborating with a team of 5 people, I added several new features as needed, including tracking the history of machines, importing/exporting data between databases, and other improvements to the web application.

I worked in the Radio Frequency department, particularly in the User Experience group. After spending some time doing some user discovery and research, I developed new API on top of the existing one for a well-used feature called List Mode. This feature is primarily accessible through LabVIEW, but is also accessible through its C API. My work make this feature significantly more user friendly. Following development, I presented my work to a group of around 20 senior developers and managers in the RF department.

2 semesters as a software development intern for Software Business Accelerator team.The first semester, I worked on a team of 4 software development interns on an iOS application for iPad used by the Tulsa-based startup company Narrable. My work stream primarily consisted of the User Interface and all view controllers associated with it. I also connected the User Interface to the Network calls that were written by another team member.During the following semester, I worked on a web application, particularly on the back end, on a team of 4 back end developers and 4 front end developers. This application was a versatile project management solution for the Chicago-based consulting firm Dom & Tom, to be used by their various clients, many of whom are fortune 500 companies.Tools for the back end that we used primarily included Node, Express, MongoDB, and Javascript programming.
