"Nobody cares about how much you know, until they know about how much you care". This is what I live by. In working with Youth/Adults I have learned that if you know everything in the world and have everything in the world, but if you dont show people that you genuinely care about their lives then you already lost them. I have worked in the field of helping people for many years now and there is nothing like seeing a young person go from the pit of hell to making a complete 180 in their lives stopping their drug use, getting out of their gangs, graduating high school, to going to college getting their bachelors degree and just living their lives as a productive citizen of our community. I do this job because I love people and know anyone can change if they really put their minds to it and really want to. Working with hundreds of youth I know not everyone is going to get it, but if only one person gets it then my job is done! But when more then one get it then my life is complete!
