About Joseph Blacker
I am very passionate about both school improvement and Quality Assurance. Throughout my career I have been an outstanding teacher and more recently a school leader. As such I have had a significant role in successfully raising the grade of my current provision from satisfactory in the previous framework to good in the current framework. I am currently a very successful school leader and this was verified by the last inspection which graded the Leadership and Management of the provision as Outstanding.My previous position as Head of School involved having a wide input into the school improvement plan and the SEF. During our recent inspection the team commented on the SEF document highlighting its thoroughness and accuracy. Further more I have been responsible for setting up and running Quality Assurance for 3rd Sector Providers within the London Borough of Lambeth and working closely with colleagues from Wandsworth and Southwark in implementing the Pan London agreement on Quality Assurance. This involves not only accurate assessment and reporting but detailed feed back too.In 2104 I qualified as an Additional Ofsted Inspector. I also work closely with School Improvement Advisors and with other experienced senior leaders. The judgments I make are accurate, fair and based securely on evidence. Since retiring in 2018 I have been kept busy volunteering as an Officer with the RAFAC CCF and as an Associate with PiXL.I am also very keen on the benefits of outdoor education to the development of young people.
