Public Relations consulting and Communications specialist with over 30 years experience in both corporate and non-profit settings as senior manager, strategic planner, college professor, journalist, travel writer, playwright, Master Gardener, editor, and investigative reporter. These skills provide an expansive platform for launching creative, effective strategies for both enhancing an image and penetrating new markets. A small, behavioral management agency that was quickly gaining business but whose management structure was not keeping pace with the growth. My job was to build a structure within the agency that would both nurture managers and accommodate the growth. Was also responsible for branding the company's name through marketing, outreach, and appropriate community partnerships.

Helped to shape this small, neighborhood organization in the Mantua section of Philadelphia that worked hand-in-hand with Drexel University to provide street cleaning, gardening, and other services to a community that was absorbing a great many Drexel students. Created the management structure from scratch; recruited board members and wrote the charter and by-laws; assisted in HR matters; created sub-businesses within the organization to expand revenue flow; and partnered with appropriate groups to extend the branding while adding credibility to MCIC .

Held a number of positions at the Philadelphia Daily News that ranged from covering religion, to uncovering political scandals and fraud. Also did a great deal of community outreach and public relations in the position of Associate Editor.
