- Responsible for the development and implementation of short and long term sourcing strategies- Source and negotiate long term agreements, and manage supply base including conducting initial supplier surveys and qualification, and risk assessment of new suppliers- Drive cost deflation and avoidance through negotiations, supplier process and productivity improvements- Participate in NPI and product transfers and ensure that all sourcing-related matters are planned and executed in a timely manner- Manage and co-ordinate early supplier involvement in new product introduction projects from part design stage through mass production, ensuring critical timelines are met- Lead sourcing projects to migrate production material spend to low cost countries

- Manage buyers across the APJ region and coordinate releases of purchase orders and ensure timely deliveries- Plan and release purchase orders accordingly to capacity and material availability- Drive actions for improving on-time customer deliveries- Manage inventory and initiate actions for inventory reduction- Pro-actively manage E&O and minimize obsolescence risks- Initiate actions for lead time compression in order fulfilment cycle- Participate in new product introduction from design stage though to mass production
