As a Manager of Volunteer Services at VITAS Healthcare, I oversee the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers who provide compassionate care and support to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. Previously, I managed Bereavement Services as well for the hospice program, ensuring that the grieving process is respected and honored. With a master's degree in theology and a bachelor's degree in history and religion, I have a deep understanding of the spiritual and cultural dimensions of end-of-life care, and I strive to create a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone. I have developed strong skills in communication, event planning, and leadership, as well as a passion for serving the community and making a positive difference. I have been working in the healthcare sector for more than three years, and I am also the Membership Services Coordinator at the Illinois Association of Museums. At IAM, I support the professional development and networking of museum professionals across the state. I am excited to continue learning and growing as a manager of volunteer services at VITAS Healthcare, and to contribute to their mission of providing quality and compassionate care.
