Mobilization of external resources and technical assistance from multilateral cooperating partners in order to finance and facilitate implementation of government programmes

I was a Victim Assistant Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zambia Mine Action Centre, responsible for the implementation of the UN Arms Trade Treaty, UN Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW), UN International Atomic Energy Agency/Nuclear Test Ban Treaty and UN Humanitarian Demining Exercise and Victim/Survivor Assistance in Zambia. I was responsible for the Five Pillars of Mine Action including, Mine Clearance, Mine Risk Education, Victim Assistance, Stockpile Destruction and Advocacy in Zambia. My other responsibilities include ensuring that landmine and Explosive Remnants of War victims receive appropriate services to facilitate for their socio-economic reintegration into societies. I was a liaison officer between victims and local, regional and international organizations providing the required rehabilitation services and development assistance. Lastly, I was also responsible for monitoring and evaluation of all the five main pillars of mine action in Zambia including attending to all the UN First Committee, Disarmament Affairs. In the UN, First Committee I participate in disarmament issues, global challenges and threats to peace that affect the international community and where the international community seek out solutions to the challenges in the international security regime.Victims/Survivals Assistance2. PURPOSEThe purpose of this job was to conduct research, monitoring and evaluation and analysis of economic trends as well as trade and investment activities in DRC and the surrounding Central African and in countries of extra accreditation. To compile reports in order to provide information for use in policy formulation and decision making by the government and to promote increased trade and investment opportunities in Zambia.

PURPOSE The purpose of this job was to supervise and undertake analysis and monitoring of economic trends and events in order to provide advice to the Government in relation to Zambia’s Foreign policy.

• Monitoring and Evaluation of various water and Energy programmes including the Poverty Reduction Strategy Programme (PRSP)/ National Development Plans (NDP)• Facilitate the Preparation of Sector Development Plans (Water and Energy)• Collecting and compiling timely and accurately, data on energy and water development cooperation with bilateral donors and multilateral donors and International Development Institutions for information and decision-making. • Assisting in the monitoring of performance and implementation of energy and water donor agreements in order to facilitate compliance therein.

Conducted various reaserches on many political,social and economic subjects in Zambia under the auspices of different International Organisations, Governments, International Non Governmental Orgisations and Civil Society and Acdemic Instutions.
