  • Georgia Tech Space Systems Design Lab
    Undergraduate Research Assistant
Georgia Tech Space Systems Design Lab Jan 2024 - Present
    Atlanta, Georgia, United States
With Dr. John Christian's Space Exploration Analysis Lab, I am conducting research in Optical Navigation systems for spacecraft.
  • Georgia Institute Of Technology
    Aerospace Engineering Student
Georgia Institute Of Technology Aug 2021 - Present
    Atlanta, Georgia, United States
  • Nasa - National Aeronautics And Space Administration
    Guidance, Navigation, And Control Intern
Nasa - National Aeronautics And Space Administration May 2024 - Aug 2024
    Johnson Space Center
This summer, I worked in the Integrated Guidance, Navigation, and Control branch and was a part of the Commercial Crew Program's Integrated Aeroscience and Flight Mechanics Team. This team developed large six degree of freedom dynamics simulations to evaluate the flight software and GNC algorithms used on SpaceX's Dragon2 and Boeing's Starliner crewed capsules. Over the course of the summer, I worked on two projects: one with the Ascent Aborts team and one with the Entry, Descent, and Landing team. With the Ascent Aborts team, I researched how we could apply advanced statistical methods to accelerate the process of analyzing large datasets of Monte Carlo simulation data. From this research, I created a tool to identify variables that led to the failure of GNC metrics. With the Entry, Descent, and Landing team, I developed a tool to initialize the six degree of freedom dynamics simulation in the case of abnormal operations where we are not provided the typically required information. This tool draws upon internal NASA resources and makes assumptions based on previous missions to create the best possible estimate the of the initial state of the vehicle in an off nominal situation.
  • College Of Computing At Georgia Tech
    Teaching Assistant
College Of Computing At Georgia Tech Jan 2022 - May 2024
    Atlanta, Georgia, United States
As a teaching assistant for GT's Computing for Engineers course, I taught fundamental computer science concepts using MATLAB. Each week, I led a recitation to provide students with a smaller, more accessible environment to review key concepts and ask questions. I also tutored students and answered individual student questions through office hours. As a Senior Teaching Assistant, I was responsible for developing and managing all homework assignments for the class of 850 students. I worked directly with the professors to create homework assignments that would prepare students for exams and allow them to apply the knowledge from lecture.
  • Nasa - National Aeronautics And Space Administration
    Robotics Operations Intern
Nasa - National Aeronautics And Space Administration Aug 2023 - Dec 2023
    Johnson Space Center
As a pathways intern, I had the opportunity to work in Mission Control with the Robotics Operations team. This team is responsible for operating the Space Station Robotic Manipulator System (SSRMS/Canadarm2) and Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator (SPDM/Dextre).My primary project involved developing a tool to allow the operators to control the Canadarm2 from mission control during EVAs. This is a new capability that will significantly reduce the crew time needed for EVAs, a vital and expensive resource. The tool was developed using python and PYQT5 and conformed to the highest software standards used at NASA.Additionally, I had the opportunity to observe real time operations and get certified in the General Robotics Training, the first robotics training flow for astronauts to learn how to operate the Canadarm2
  • Space Systems Design Lab, Georgia Institute Of Technology
    Research Assistant
Space Systems Design Lab, Georgia Institute Of Technology Jan 2022 - May 2023
    Atlanta, Georgia, United States
I worked alongside team of undergraduate and graduate students to design and manufacture two CubeSats, Orca2 and WEBS. With this team, I designed solar panels using Autodesk Eagle and developed a systematic method to characterize and test the solar cells before and after manufacturing the panels.
  • Ochsner Lsu Health Shreveport
    Student Researcher
Ochsner Lsu Health Shreveport May 2021 - Aug 2021
    Shreveport, Louisiana, United States
Worked in the Harrison Lab on research funded by the Louisiana Space Grant Consortium to develop an inexpensive 3D Clinostat, a device designed to simulate microgravity for biological experiments.
