Current- Process samples used in several clinical programmes before loading them onto my laboratory's analysers for their analysis.- Carrying out preparatory methods in several diagnostic methodologies, such as 24 hour urine collections to diagnose kidney problems, The Urine C-peptide ratio (UCPCR) programme, which is intended to measure endogenous secretion of insulin to diagnose diabetes, and the Qfit programme used to determine bowel cancer through the analysis of blood levels in stool samples.- Preparation of buffer solutions.- Trained to complete outstanding worklists and to use barcode scanners, vortex mixers, and sterile 1ml pipettes.- Making use of the Sysmex CN track to run glycated haemoglobin and haemoglobin counts in blood samples. - Loading samples on DYNEX DS2 ELISAs for antibody testing.- Manual faeces extractions using buffers, calprotectin extraction kits, and homogenising equipment.- The use of the OC-Sensor Pledia to analyse calprotectin levels in stool samples for the determination of Chron's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.- Use of ESR, Modulab, Qpulse, Microsoft Office Suite, COBAS INFINITY to track sample route history, and EPIC to create comments on booked in samples, and to check for outstanding tests on patient requests.- Maintenance and use of a variety of automated equipment including a Roche COBAS C8100, Roche COBAS e801 and e501 modules, the Roche Pre-Analytical System and the Roche COBAS P501.- Responsible for the replacement of blood gas analyser cartridges in hospital wards when required. - Administrative duties and stock level checks- Works to stick to company regulations, such as Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, Health and Safety and Patient Data Confidentiality.- Participation in weekly staff meetings to help my team create impactful solutions.Urine C-peptide ratio (UCPCR) programme, which is intended to monitor endogenous secretion of insulin, for the diagnosis of diabetes.
