Over the past several years, I have had many great opportunities to learn and grow. In high school, I was apart of my school’s math team and engineering program. Both opportunities I loved because I enjoyed learning about interesting subjects and working fun projects. During my senior year, I was able to work with my classmates on a project for a local company. This opportunity was great because I could apply my knowledge in a way that could help others. Since high school, I have furthered my knowledge at Auburn through classes and projects. My most memorable project was a wind propelled car for computer aided. In the project, my classmates and I worked together to design a motorless car. This car would have a propeller that was connected to a gearbox via an aluminum rod. As a fan blows air, to simulate wind, onto the car, the propeller would spin. Which caused propulsion. There was quite a bit of research on parts and designs that went into this project. I had fun working with some great classmates on such an interesting and fun project. I also really enjoyed designing and building parts for the car.Currently, I am working on an exoskeleton design for Auburn’s CARE lab. The goal of the lab is to determine whether hybrid exoskeletons can be used to help rehabilitation patients. Hybrid exoskeletons utilization motors and electrodes to help the user perform various actions. Which could result in increased muscle and bone density and improve motor controls. I am grateful to be able to work on an interesting project that could do some good.In my free time, I enjoy solving puzzles, drawing, and playing with legos. I also enjoy walking, hiking, and hanging out with friends. Lastly, one of my favorite things to do is rock climb. I have enjoyed climbing since I was a kid. It was a fun activity for me and my sister to do from time to time. It wasn’t until a year ago that I was able to consistently go, and I’m happy to be able to do it. The problem solving aspects of rock climbing have been fun, and I am grateful for the great friends I’ve made from this fun hobby.
