Principal Investigator for internally and externally-funded R&D in the areas of progressive damage and failure analysis of composite structure for durability and damage tolerance. Leading multiple cross diciplinary technical teams across Boeing Research and Technology, University and Gov't research labs, and industry. Technical depth in the domains of experimental and computational mechanics, verification benchmarking, data driven validation, and technology readiness level maturation. Spearheaded first industry High Fidelity Database and Analysis Protocols with ONR using advanced in situ computed tomography. Key contributor and lead for multiple proposal wins from DoD since 2015. Development platforms include Abaqus standard/explicit (umat/vumat) material models and implementation strategies into Finite Element Methods. FEM experience performing sizing analysis of configured composite structure, durability, and damage tolerance. Strong history of intellectual property development with multiple patents awarded, and publication of 50+ papers in the past few years. Engaged at all levels of technical scope, from underlying theoretical foundation through briefing company, industry, and government stakeholders at Technical Interchange Briefings, IRAD, CRAD, and Industry reviews. Currently supporting the NASA Advanced Composite Consortium, AFRL Composite Airframe Life Extension programs, and ONR.
