Know and feel that warm electric energy charging each and every cell and fiber to the point of serene ecstasy. Summon and channel that power back into ones surroundings, environment, and each other. This is the creative potential engaging space gives us. A space, if engineered with the heart and the mind, can give the individual a place to explore their own unique humanity. A place where the body, the mind, and emotions are free to combine, coalesce, and collaborate. In doing so, we evoke the great potential of evolution itself. Transcending outmoded limitations within ourselves, with each other, and with the world around us. My name is Joseph Davidson, I graduated from the University of Denver in 2014 with a double major in Cognitive Neuroscience and Philosophy, and a minor in Biology. During my time at university I worked with top researchers in the field of emotion/cognition interactions and neuroimaging. Finding my passion in the areas of evolutionary psychology, spirituality, and aesthetics, I was deeply fulfilled by participating in the design, build, and production of the Census Camp at Burning Man 2014. Indeed, this year I am taking a larger role in the designing, managing, and coordinating (general scheming) the camp, and leading a new team of volunteers who will be communicating our socio-demographic data to the Burning Man community using original, interactive approaches.My love for creating engaging spaces and structures, coupled with my background in neuroscience and spirituality gives me a unique approach to interactive design and event production.
