Primary activities include cost reduction and design to Cost Projects. DFMEA for components and systems. Develop methodologies to predict performance, and reduce development lead times- Leveraging resources across ASIA (Consolidate and approve production suppliers across Asia), adapting Global Engineering Practices and Execute in local market, evaluating manpower resource requirements, recruit, administer performance evaluation, and deploy manpower resources as needed

- Responsible for developing innovative concepts in dampers and suspension systems with an emphasis on performance and structural enhancement, durability improvement and cost effectiveness - Oversaw a team of 50 engineers and technicians and supported market research to identify future product needs and the expansion of the product portfolio while also supporting the strategy for product positioning, tech show preparation, product pricing position in the market- Established strategies to generate revenue for engineering samples, managed a development budget of $1.4million, evaluated global suppliers and provided post launch support for products and resolved customer complaints- Customer included Global passenger cars, recreational, commercial and specialty vehicles. Interface with major OEMs and Aftermarket retailers (Hendrickson, Navistar, Polaris, John Deere, Nissan, Skyjacker, AutoZone)- Products and Systems included new sealing element for current valve technology, full Corner module suspension (Strut and all sub-components) and the damper valve system- Launched the square cut seal for OEM customer which increased the life up to 10 times and patented also launched the ReadyMount suspension system for ease of corner module assembly and new damper valve system(s)

- Responsible for maintenance and “New Product Implementation” for Commercial Vehicle OEM and Specialty suspension products- Designed and developed shocks, and tie bars for major automotive customers, with up to a team of 22 people while also supporting the creation of and implementing of change management processes and lead-times- Benchmarked Ride Control products to industry standards and improved core competence by implementing design standards - Maintained budgets and kept costs at or below operating plan and engineered profit center for prototype samples

- Responsible for the R&D duties for company design standards and core competency for suspension components/systems design and development - Engineering Manager responsibilities involved development in response to customer RFQ’s, program /project management, product development and life-cycle management, and the execution for the ArvinMeritor/Chery Automotive Joint Venture- Executed product gap analysis to identify cost vs. performance benefits to enable business growth and generated design guidelines for the applications engineering team- Standardized engineering and manufacturing design/feasibility reviews, created DOE to reduce scrap rate up to 25% and established and trained cross-functional teams on DFMEA best practices - Created interdepartmental roles and responsibilities to align with business goals and objectives, designed and developed sub- components using FEA best practices to meet product requirements and implemented intellectual property protocol for drawing release
