Responsible for the implementation of continuous improvement activities, championed lean manufacturing initiatives, and performed Industrial Engineering analysis and cost estimating to ensure engineered designs, procedures, and processes are accurate and timely. Coordinated with engineering to ensure good communication regarding equipment issues/downtime, to achieve optimum production levels. Provided training for new employees. Addressed employee complaints and union grievances in accordance with contract book. Worked with Quality Department representatives to address potential and actual quality/shipping issues expediently to ensure quality product is shipped on time. Prepared necessary reports on production, scrap, downtime and absenteeism on a daily basis. Communicated with supervisors across all shifts to assure smooth transition of workflow, equipment issues and all other pertinent issues. Performed performance reviews for probationary employees as well as full time employees. Monitored and controlled waste water system to ensure no hazardous waste went to the city or environment. Wrote work orders and contacted necessary persons to address equipment issues. Addressed downtime/mechanical issues to ensure continued production when maintenance personnel were back logged with issues. As an electrician was responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all electrical systems on the AV8-B Harrier II+. Obtained CDI qualification and acted as a direct representative of Quality to ensure all repairs were in done in accordance with applicable manuals and aircraft were flight worthy. Supervised Avionics division and coordinated with all other divisions to ensure timely repair of discrepancies to meet customer demand for flight schedule. Deployed overseas for combat operations and ensured aircraft were mission ready at all times. As an Instructor obtained MTS (Master Training Specialist) qualification. Trained employees on all avionics systems operation, troubleshooting, and repair ensuring capability before releasing to work force. As an MTS, responsible for training new instructors on methodology in training and classroom procedures. Resposible for all course updates and modifications as systems were updated or new systems were installed in aircraft.
