I was responsible for coordinating the services and support available to consumers as outlined in the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act. I developed relationships with families and assisted them as they sought services for their family members. I managed an extensive portfolio with critical deadlines and competing priorities.

As the Case Manager I had supervisory responsibilities. I helped coordinate a team of Behavior Specialists while maintaining my own case load. As a Behavior Specialist I completed behavioral observations, assessments and implemented a consistent treatment plan while establishing and maintaining positive relationships with the assigned youth and his/her family. I maintained direct supervision of assigned youths and complete all required agency paperwork in a timely manner. I developed a therapeutic relationship with assigned youth, building upon strengths and managing counter-transference. I was well trained in established crisis protocol and was able to assess and seek consultation and support when necessary.

As a Child Care Worker (CCW) you supervise a group of young children and foster their growth. Maintain a safe environment based on safety standards set by the program. Help other staff in preparing meals for children as required. Assist in the cleaning and straightening of the child care rooms at the end of the day, as well as putting away any outside equipment. Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis. Assist in the development and facilitation of interactive parent and child literacy activities.
