Role involves upkeep of a warehouse where the standards for tidiness are high, since this leads to an increase in efficiency, which in turn keeps customer satisfaction to a high level since items are brought to them quickly. Customer interaction is the main part of the role since we look to build relationships with customers so that that trust us and want to shop in Screwfix.

First-year physics laboratory demonstrator, responsible for monitoring and aiding students within the laboratory. Communication in this environment was vital since all the students had different levels of experience with physics, this meant explaining key concepts in such a way that everyone could understand. Being calm and collected was something I focused on to be as approachable as possible since the laboratories, especially for someone with little experience is a stressful environment. This also involved marking students on their overall performance, which accounts for how they worked in a group as well as their understanding of the task given. On top of this, I was given the task of marking laboratory reports which required me analysing the reports in order to make sure that students conveyed a good degree of understanding whilst also keeping their work original. In order to prepare for the weekly laboratory, I was tasked with managing times when I would go perform the experiment myself. On top of this, I gave myself the task of trying to understand the experiment in different ways in order to allow me to cater to as many students as possible since students came from varying academic backgrounds and have different academic abilities.

Worked in two different roles at Asda within both the bakery and in the counters. Both roles involved working within a team as well as on your own during certain evenings. Abiding by health and safety was an integral part of the role. Another important part of the job was inventory management in order to track stock levels and to prevent losses.
