I previewed five of the SWAC's finest teams for the nationally-recognized publication "Chris Dortch's Blue Ribbon Basketball Yearbook." I also currently write in-depth features about lesser-known subjects from collegiate basketball's colorful history for the Blue Ribbon Newsletter.

For the 2020 NBA Draft Research Notebook, I wrote detailed reports about each of the international prospects, which include LaMelo Ball, Deni Avdija, and others. I also wrote about several second-round prospects who I believe might have a chance of outperforming their assumed draft position draft grades. I was also charged with writing about draft needs.

As a writer for the Chattanoogan.com online newspaper, I had the opportunity to cover a wide range of events and topics. In the morning, I would often cover state and federal court stories,I covered local politics in the form of writing about either city council or a political club such as the Pachyderm Club. As a media specialist with Chattanooga Football Club, I assisted with live-streaming broadcasts of home matches. In this role, I would run camera and switcher for the broadcast.

As an intern for MocsVision, the digital media division of the department, I gained exposure to the various components involved in digital and broadcast media. This included camerawork for basketball and softball broadcasts on ESPN, talent management for those ESPN broadcasts, video board management, and video editing.

This position gave me experience in a leadership role, while also improving my technical skills needed for a full-time job.
