Nigeria

• Strengthened M&E system of 108 health facilities in Cross-river state in providing quality Maternal, New-born and Child health (MNCH) and family planning (FP) services, and 25 Private facilities in Rivers state in providing Integrated PMTCT services• Set-up and established M&E system of 3 Community Based Organization (CBOs) in Cross-river state to accurately track community level achievements of the SMGL project• Ensured that the result of reducing Maternal mortality rate by 34% (against 25% target) and Perinatal mortality rate by 29%(against 35%) could be achieved and is verifiable.• Led the M&E team of the First-time Parents intervention in Akwa-Ibom that recorded a 24% increase in number of women who received contraceptive services provided by trained CHEWs.• Led the process of conducting Baseline Health facility Assessment in 90 facilities across Niger, Gombe and Kaduna States to provided information on the capacity of health care workers to provide integrated MNCH and FP services.• Developed Pathfinder’s MEL strategies in proposals, and institutionalize related policies, guidelines and standard procedures for monitoring and evaluating projects.• Conceptualized, developed and implemented an appropriate system for collecting monitoring and evaluation data to enable projects to report to stakeholders, to regularly review and use data to track progress against goals, to improve the quality of the interventions, and to feed data analytics into technical publications.• Created and adapted data collection, supervision and monitoring tools such as forms, survey questionnaires, key informant interview guides, and facility assessment.

Abuja

Bayelsa State.

Pact Inc. is an International NGO that focuses on the capacity development of organizations using proven Theories of change. The Community Based Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PROMOT) project is a 42 months project implemented by Pact through local Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in all the 8 LGAs of Bayelsa state. It is implemented with support from Chevron as the sponsor of the project.• • Contributed to the development of Pact's ICARE M&E plan which was used to steer all M&E activities of the project in Benue and Kebbi.• Contributed to the propagation of the use of Low-Osmolar Zinc and ORS as treatment of choice for childhood diarrhoea in Benue and Kebbi.• Provided Technical Assistance to Bayelsa state Ministry of Health and Partners on HIV/AIDS data management, proposal writing and reporting.• Coordinated the mid-term evaluation of PROMOT project; provided on-the-job training to PROMOT’s staff and Partner CBOs.

Benue

The ICARE Project aims at increasing care seeking behavior in Nigeria for childhood illnesses- focusing on Diarrhea across Benue and Kebbi states. It is a project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and DFID, awarded to Pact (with Abt. Associates as a sub) and British Broadcasting Cooperation Media Action (BBCMA).• Worked with the program team to facilitate the Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) and Organizational Performance Index (OPI) of supported CBOs, resulting in the development of measurable Institutional Strengthening Plans for systematic and sustainable system strengthening.• Developed partner CBOs’ capacity in writing Performance Monitoring Plans.• Collaborated with state actors to periodically review project activities, instituted corrective strategies and ensured best practices are sustained.• Supported partner CBOs to strengthen their MERL systems by identifying MERL capacity gaps and planning mentoring and coaching exercises to address identified gaps.• Participated in the development of Project’s Performance Monitoring Plans, contributed to monthly and quarterly program reports.

Benue

Consultant trainer with Malaria Action Program for states (MAPS), a USAID funded project. As a lead trainer in the capacity building of community care givers in all the Local government areas of Benue state (July – September, 2012) and as a trainer in the capacity building of primary health care givers in all the Local government areas of Benue state (April – June, 2013).

• Collaborated with the DRF manager to quantify and procure high quality drugs for patients’ use at the hospital leading to improved treatment outcomes.• Ensured proper inventory management of drugs and allied products using FMoH standard operating procedures, which significantly reduced the quantity of damaged and expired drugs at the end of each review period.• Documented and reported the challenges and successes of the Pharmaceutical care practice at the surgical ward, and made recommendations for improvement to the departmental head.
