My role involves working the nightshift filling the shelves with dairy products. As all fresh products has a twentyminute cold chain, it is very important to work each cage at a very quick pace. We usually get a minimum of twofresh deliveries arriving in store and it is crucial to work as a team to ensure each cage is split down and ready togo out. Some areas of the shop floor requires a team to fill and tidy up an ale within 20 minutes due to somemembers of staff being on holiday or sick. It is also my duty to print out labels for any products that might bemissing a tag. At the end of every shift, I am responsible to record all damages and out of code items related tothe fresh department to then be wasted or recycled.

During the time I have spent being in charge of lighting, planning needs to take place before hand in order to addthat bit extra enjoyment to a show. Communication is an important role so the event managers and cast are happywith the lighting during each set. If any type of fault takes place, I must keep calm and be quick as possible to solvethe issue.I developed my skills and knowledge of stage lighting on my own by doing my own research and gaining a few tipsfrom a good friend of mine. Lighting involves operating machinery and having the role of being creative.

volunteering to help out at gigs, being in complete charge of setting up a sound system and operatingit. Sound Engineering involves a lot of communication with the bands and the event managers. In order to achievehaving a good sound, must have a good ear to pick up sounds that might need changing or taken out. During thetime I spent at college developing the skills and knowledge, most of what I have learned has been put into practice.

From when I was in my early teens, I was introduced to a few people who were looking for a gardener to keep theirgardens trimmed and tided. My role involved using machinery that was powered by petrol so it was important tohave the knowledge of safety. As well as being a gardener, I also use to paint fences, garages and sheds. On arare occasion before the winter season started, a massive load of logs would be delivered to one of the houses andit was my responsibility to store all the logs in a dry area.
