Manage download/upload of programs to and from the machine. Edit programs by correcting or adding code to maximize the machining process, tool life, and quality of the products made. Write programs at the machine as required. Adjust offsets and machine parameters as required. Ensure the correct tool paths by interpreting the program code and verifying the processes against the blueprint dimensions. Monitor tooling to prevent excessive wear/breakage. Measure, inspect and record product dimensions using various inspections tooling such as micrometers, calipers, dial bores, diatest gages, chamfer gages, angle gages, protractors, gage pins, thread gages, height gages, last word indicators, electronic probes, and ultrasonic testing devices. Interpret blueprints to determine if the measured results meet the tolerances specified by the customer.
