I’m a data scientist and machine learning engineer with 10 years of experience across blockchain tech, finance, and healthcare. I’ve been very focused on complex machine learning problems along with team leadership, thought leadership, and mentorship/teaching.I just started my current role as an AI/ML Engineer at Harmonic, where I'm leveraging machine learning to help create the world's best startup database and improve discoverability of startups.In my previous role, I managed a team of 6 data scientists that provided a wide range of data science services for a top-tier base layer (L1) blockchain project: Avalanche. Our technical focus included leveraging graph data representations and machine learning models to build a personalization platform for Avalanche users. Prior to the Tie, I was the Lead Data Scientist at Elementus, helping to build a team of experts in blockchain and graph data along with the algorithms that can extract analytical insights from this data.Prior to Elementus, I worked at Kaplan's Metis program as a Senior Data Scientist, where I developed and delivered a data science and machine learning training curriculum and supervised hundreds of student projects. I was also able to pursue personal projects such as constructing a GitHub repository on neural network techniques for time series forecasting. Earlier in my career I held roles in both healthcare analytics and equity research.A few of my many hobbies are playing piano, bouldering, and participating in kaggle machine learning competitions, where I am ranked as a competitions master (multiple gold medals and top 1% finishes) and discussion master.
