Instead of more lists, I wanted to use this space to give you a better idea of my 'who.' It's probably why you're here, after all. I spent three years in Australia working in the finance industry. After a number of rapid promotions, I found myself in charge of a great deal for someone so young. If I had to describe my experience in one word it would be 'people,' for at no other time in my life did I learn so much about others, or about myself. From the daily experiences of building client relationships, to the extraordinary experiences of dealing with employees personal traumas, Australia changed who I was for the better. Based on this I choose to leave for Brazil. My mission? To experience the opposite of the world that I had come to know, to challenge myself with something different.In Brazil I worked for a school in a favela called Batan (near Rio). I taught English and sports and successfully helped secure new funding. Here I learnt the importance of community. Despite its poverty, Rio is a city that thrums to the beat of music, and this atmosphere is only brought about by people working together. This is now something that has been burnt into my DNA; that together we can achieve almost anything.While in Rio I was accepted into the LSE. The 'bigger picture' had always been a fascination of mine. Spending a year studying cutting edge political ideas sharpened my mind considerably. Mid-term, I was asked to represent the LSE at a conference in Paris and, from this, I gained the opportunity to move to Paris. I used this as a chance to process much of the information that I had gained at the LSE. So I wrote a book and worked with some institutions on financial matters. Now, I work across sectors - Corporate/NGO/institutions - as a strategic consultant pulling this all together. Feel free to add me if our paths have crossed.
