I currently work for Cramlington town council as Youth and Community Manager in the Community and Youth department. Here we use Asset Based Community Development to create everything we do, such as mapping existing provision in the town, locate gaps in provision, and provide the framework to set up various networks for residents to enhance their local areas. Through the two years working here, I have set up and work alongside a variety of different partnerships within the town. We have funded 3 new youth clubs to provide extra free provision for the youths of Cramlington, developed a youth engagement van to provide further outreach opportunities, created a school network for young students to be part of our underpass and bloom projects and help establish the ASB partnership to reduce the number of ASB reports.I come from a sporting background. I have been involved in Rugby all my life and worked for Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle Thunder, the North Easts professional Rugby Union and Rugby League teams. I was involved with their respective foundations for 3 years coaching mens, womens, junior and LD Rugby. I love the technical side of sport, analysing statistics, data and seeing improvements of players of all ages.I have level 2 coaching badges in both Rugby Union and Rugby League and looking to improve my credentials in other sports also.
