As engineers, we’re developing the specialised equipment to scale this science to mass produce an industrial product in volume. Through our extensive research and development efforts, we have successfully created unique IP that revolutionizes the catalysis of stainless steel on an industrial scale. We have developed a prototype ‘Catalytic Activation Machine’ that has 1000x greater capacity than the laboratory instruments currently available – powerful enough to activate electrodes for MW scale electrolysers which are fuelled by renewable energy sources.

In this role I contributed to the build and process for digital build of full vehicle multi body system models using Simpack. This role allowed me to round out my simulation experience by working in the field of multi body dynamics. As well as developing Matlab experience developing model build automated pipelines. Alongside the technical aspects of this role I also have the responsibility as scrum master for the team. This is a servant leadership role employing Agile methodologies using the Scaled Agile Framework and Jira as a tool.

In this role I provided analysis for the Structural test labs at Jaguar Land Rover. Responsibilities included carrying out modal and stress analysis for components and assemblies to be tested in the labs. This role allowed me to develop skills in Hypermesh, Simlab, Solidthinking Inspire and Catia V5 tool sets along with optistruct and Abaqus solvers.

Conducted packaging design engineering for electric motors developing skills in geometric dimension and tolerancing and 3D modelling (Solidworks).

Lentus composites produce a wide spectrum of advanced components from aerospace driveshafts through to accumulators for the automotive industry.Working at Lentus, I developed knowledge in engineering and composite technology. Lentus also provided training in FEMAP/NX Nastran, developed report writing and provided experience in composite design. Analysis conducted at Lentus involved thermal stress and press fit analysis of metallic-composite joints, torsion and compression of composite struts and composite material design using classical laminate theory.

Wavepower was a leading wave energy company running an expert multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced innovative environment. Wavepower provided the unique opportunity to have high levels of responsibility within the company. Examples of this are being the designer of a high value power take off, representing the company at large industrial conferences (such as the Asian wave energy and tidal conference in Singapore and the International Conference on ocean energy) and responsibilities over administering maintaining and creating processes and systems such as file management.
