Joseph Ericson Delumen Galvez is RCBC’s Vice President for Treasury’s Digital Distribution and Sales. He is known to many as Eric. His recent involvement in RCBC’s digitalization involves critical enhancements in the bank’s digital banking facility mainly focusing on online foreign exchange. RCBC’s Online FX is a facility that allows clients to transact foreign exchange in the comforts of their homes, from exchanging foreign currencies of OFWs and expats alike to selling FCDU for travelers and investment-minded individuals. Eric is proud to have been part of the many awards and recognition received by RCBC, one of which as the leading digital bank for four consecutive years. Before joining RCBC, Eric was the senior/chief trader for RCBC Savings Bank. He is the bank’s seasoned fixed-income trader and at the same time supervises the treasury team in asset & liability management, and cash flow management focusing on maximizing returns through the effective management of the bank’s cost of funds.Eric being a natural leader and mentor provides lectures and training to the officers' development program, his leadership skills were further enhanced through the bank’s leadership development program in partnership with John Clements, Inc., and Harvard Business Publishing, and through RCBC’s Leadership Academy in partnership with DLSU’s Center for Professional Development in Business with the accolade of having to finish the program as one of the top ten of the class. His newfound interest involves the field of data science and analytics and how this key technology can help propel business directions in the areas of online foreign exchange, asset management, and market risk assessment. He is currently pursuing his master's in applied business analytics at the University of Asia & the Pacific.He also enjoyed managing a small café his wife has shared in running the business, involving inventory management, finance, and marketing. From this business, he has found a love for coffee, pizza, and pasta. For all you know, he can make you a pizza margherita if you would ask him.Lastly, Eric is a loving husband and father, enjoying the simple things in life together.
