Prior to becoming a student of Psychology, I worked as a Solicitor with eir, a major telecommunications company in Dublin between 1985 and 2018. I was a senior legal adviser and I specialized in communications law, public procurement and electronic communications Regulatory Law. I negotiated several multi-million euro deals with the major tech companies headquartered in Dublin. I also negotiated some major transatlantic cable deals.Since taking early retirement from eir in 2018 I studied singing at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. I attained Grade 7 in singing with the Academy in 2019. I commenced studying Psychology at Bray Institute of Further Education (BIFE) in 2019, and I received a Grade 5 Diploma in Applied Psychology with distinctions in eight subjects in 2020. I was awarded the BIFE Psychology Student of the Year Award in 2020. I gained entry to the IADT Applied Psychology Honours Level Degree Programme in 2020 and I am now in the third year of that Programme. My interests include singing, running horse riding and doing work for the Voluntary Sector. I am involved wihtthe Dalkey Foroige Youth Project, which seeks to teach leadership and teamwork skills to young people. In the past, I have done Voluntary Wok for the Irish Horse Welfare Trust and my local branch of "Meals on Wheels", a service that provides free and affordable hot meals to old people in my Local Area.
