As a biology education research assistant as part of the biology in the movies team, I was responsible for:· Evaluating research claims made in movies based on current and past scientific research/literature and adding that movie along with the appropriate verdict of the accuracy of the claims to the database· Editing already existing entries to make sure they are still accurate and up to date with respect to newer and current scientific findings · Planning an interactive movie screening for students at UTSC and presenting the scientific claims of the movie along with our verdicts · Using the movie database to pick movies to use as supplemental learning material for a biology course in alignment with its syllabus
