While I find myself in my professional career providing services in a number of various third party software risk related areas, I am an engineer at heart. Attending undergraduate school for engineering taught me how to approach problem solving and instill a never ending curiosity for understanding why things work the way they do. Both of these are invaluable skills I leverage every day. Transitioning immediately to a business graduate degree helped balance my approach by teaching me how to apply towards real world situations and understand the financial side of decisions. I find passion in helping others around me to learn while I continue to develop throughout my career. I truly believe that you never stop learning in life. If you find yourself at a point in your life where you feel that you aren't learning then it's time to switch something up. I've been a teacher since I took up my first job as a ski instructor while in high school. This is a role I had throughout undergrad and graduate schools. I learned a number of skills, the most valuable being that every person learns differently. Understanding how people absorb information has allowed me to provide continuous development to those around me and understand how leaders I work with approach various challenging situations. I am known as having a disarming personality, allowing me to work with people across a number of communities of thought. I am a firm believer that balance in life across all aspects is everything. When we focus on balance it forces us to be intentional and present in every moment. When we are balanced, we achieve the best out of ourselves and those around us.
