Since helping out my dad at weekends from the age of 13, I quickly realised that landscape gardening was something I wanted to pursue as a career once I had completed my secondary education. After leaving Holgate school in 2009, I joined the family business as well as studying part-time at Barnsley college. After completing my NVQ level 3 Diploma qualification in Bricklaying, I became partners with my father in the well-established company 'ultimate garden'. Since then, I have developed a wide range of skills such as leadership, management and forward-thinking. My creative mind and eye for detail has allowed me to design and construct some spectacular gardens around the local area, with fantastic feedback from customers. Specialising in Indian Stone driveways and patios, I listen to customers requests and aim to transform their gardens into something which is stunning and equally easy to maintain. I am a highly motivated and determined person that can pick up new skills easily and always ensure I complete any tasks up to the highest possible standard. I pride myself on my outstanding attendance and punctuality and I am very eager to increase my knowledge-base and skills set. I am people-orientated with fantastic customer service skills and love meeting new people. Since joining the business 7 years ago, I have introduced new techniques to improve the business and also looked at different ways to gain customers, including using social media (such as Facebook, instagram and Twitter) and updating our company website. In 2016, I passed my B&E car and trailer test which allows me to tow a trailer. Even though the trade i am in involves me working outdoors all year-around, i pride myself on appearance and always ensure I look smart and professional for work.
