Oversaw the education of members of the organization in areas including the fraternities history and DEI; organized brotherhood retreats and brotherhood events in order to build strong bonds between members of the organization; managed the DEI committee and Member Education committee; headed weekly education meetings for new members of the organization.

Oversaw the creation and maintenance of the organizations official records including the membership roster, bylaws, and meeting minutes. Attended Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s National Executive Academy in Atlanta on the Member Educator track.

As an intern with the curatorial department at the Polk Museum of Art I was involved in all facets of preparing the museum galleries and collection for an upcoming exhibition. I participated in deconstructing the previous exhibition, and preparing the gallery for a new one by removing vinyl, patching holes, and repainting walls. I also practiced unpacking, transporting, and hanging valuable works of art for display in the new exhibition. Additionally, I was trained on how to create condition reports for museum artwork as well as how to use TMS gallery management software to sort the museums collection. This internship gave me a huge wealth of experience handling and caring for museum grade art, as well as the operation of museums as a whole.

A a student researcher for a faculty led research project within the Art History and Chemistry department l composed a list of historical pigments of interest and their usage based on art history and conservation literature. After a review on the chemistry of pigment, paints, and inks, the principles of spectroscopy, digital image processing, and the concepts of the Multi Spectral Imaging method, I designed and carried out my own procedure of the MSI method for pigment identification considering variables such as the spectral densities of each light source, the spectral range of each filter, the effect of paint thickness on IR transparency, if any, the effect of binder (for example oil and acrylic binders), and the effects of other additives in paints and inks. In the implementation of the MSI method at the Polk Museum of Art, I was responsible for learning and observing proper care and handling of art and objects in the museum’s collection. For those pieces studied, I worked to ascertain information such as the artist, their background, and the provenance of the piece through research.

Researched donated artifacts and created a proposal for a potential museum exhibition based on the works.
