Producing a new Quality Manual in keeping with new industry regulations, producing spreadsheets to compare the previous and updated guidelines, communicating with employees to discuss company practices, understanding of IT.

Running activities for students, taking groups of students on day trips to various cities, running the accounts for the summer school, managing the relevant documentation and creating documents as required, ensuring all technology was prepared.

Chemical synthesis, chemical analysis (including SEM), communicating with other members of the group to ensure projects ran smoothly.

Teaching English to students at the summer school, classroom management, lesson preparation and exercising communication skills to overcome the language barrier.

I worked with a postdoctoral researcher to produce two new gas chromatography instruments and to analyse data being sent from the field. The project we worked on was the BALI project. I also helped to write programmes for the instruments used in the laboratory, working towards producing autonomous instruments which are capable of analysing data without human input and then adding this data to an online database.
