LinkedIn Friends, after 21 years of service to UTC Cargo Group, Haulmark and Wells Cargo, I have decided it is time to move on. 22 June 2018 will be my last day with UTC – Bristol. I will be hitching my wagon to another team in the area, Formula Trailers. I would like to thank both the many vendor partners and members of the UTC Family for all of the support, growth and fond memories. This is the best move for me at this time for the well being myself and my family. History:Formed in 2001 and headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Universal Trailer Corporation announced its presence when it acquired Exiss Aluminum Trailers, Inc. of El Reno, Okla., as its first brand. In 2002 Haulmark Industries, Inc., headquartered in Bristol, Ind., joined the family of brands. Sooner Trailer Manufacturing Company of Duncan, Okla., became a part of Universal in late 2003, Miley in 2004, Featherlite of Cresco, Ia., in late 2006 and Wells Cargo of Elkhart, Ind., in 2009. Though Universal was formed in 2001, its brands have been in existence for a minimum of 15 years to more than 50 years. Today Universal has nine manufacturing plants across the United States.

Responsible for graphics, fabric, hardwood, chemicals, MRO and related material. Established part numbering and inventory control system for $200,000.00 graphics program. Reduced inventory of fabric by 50% while increasing production.

Responsible for purchasing, scheduling and maintenance of annual inventory of $28 million. Reduced vendor base from 1257 to 480 and reduced aluminum stock by 55%.

Responsible for the purchasing of aluminum, resin, plastic, upholstery and related marine parts. Reduced MRO processing cost by 25% and line stock outages by 90%. Implemented an MRP system to replace a manual purchasing system.

Provided cost information and bill of materials, as well as purchasing functions. Ownership learned margins were too small and closed the operation.

AAMEK Corporation was a group that invested and managed start up companies. Responsibilities varied widely, with a main focus on purchasing duties. Responsibilities included sourcing a wide variety of items for multiple companies. Managing properties and contractors.

Responsible for daily operations, including purchasing for a fiberglass manufacturing operation. Reduced overhead by 25% and increased production by 15%. Directly supervised a staff of 18.

Responsible for the development of an 18-acre mini family amusement park. Designed and developed a mini golf course, go-kart track, arcade and concessions. Under budget and ahead of schedule. Launched advertising and promotional materials for the first year of operation.

KKL was a Limousine Manufacture. Reduced raw material inventory by 27% and established a company quality program. Relocated the company from Arlington, Texas to Lakeville, Indiana.

Responsible for sourcing components for a fiberglass body specialty automobile. Provided leadership for the design team and developed press packages and releases. Met with Roger Ward, former Indianapolis 500 champion, to explore his opportunities as a potential investor and spokesperson.

Negotiated with Ford, Chrysler and General Motors. Responsible for managing the purchasing, receiving, service parts, shipping and engineering, and support staff. Increased service parts sales by 72%.

Purchased and maintained inventory for micro, mini and class "C" motor homes and fifth wheel trailers. Also served as purchasing agent, line supervisor and builder/designer for subsidiaries.
