  In my role as Business Development Manager for Axis, the Property Repairs, Maintenance and Refurbishment specialists, I work closely with our client partners to understand the needs of their business and to ensure we help them surpass their objectives. Working in close partnership with our clients is central to how we operate, how we add value, how we improve efficiency and how we carry out our work on a daily basis. It's something we call Relationship Contracting.This way of working is based on five guiding principles of commitment, trust, respect, fairness and understanding between two parties. All of which are core to the Axis values and my own. These meaningful relationships make Axis seem less like a supplier and more like a colleague, sharing the same objectives and values, which enable us to become an extension of our client’s team. Our understanding of our partners’ business and the social housing market, means we’re able to offer a much more flexible and creative approach. Working in this way has allowed us to come up with solutions to problems that traditional client/supplier relationships would never be able to overcome.
