Lead a global team (NY, London, Tokyo) of 8 network engineers and 2 risk / finance professionals, supporting the Investment Bank.* Lead team responsible for the design, deployment, and support of global networks for all colocated sites, market data, and exchange connectivity. Manage numerous client connections across asset classes. Responsible for environment supporting critical Investment Bank applications across asset classes, including Equities, Prime Services, FX, and Fixed Income. * Responsible for IT risk initiatives within my department (networks, platforms, market data, middleware).* Develop and drive cost savings initiatives (over £1 million cut from run rate annually over each of the past 5 years, all self-driven). * Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at various levels of the organization (RTB, BTB, front office).* Work collaboratively with the team to define a roadmap * Self-driven cost savings initiatives (consolidate / optimize exchange, client, colo connectivity) * Reduce Latency for clients * Drive efficiencies and improve team skills (automate via scripts / Ansible) * Business-driven initiatives* Network escalation point. Troubleshoot issues. Identify problems and resolve in a timely manner. Ensure all projects and client needs are attended to in a timely manner
