My responsibilities are to use design as a medium to produce sustainable beautiful landscapes that provide function as a resource to people, a service to the environment and that can be seamlessly stitched back into the community. The range of projects I work on is from transportation to retail to residential. Also, I am an advocate for landscape architecture and thoughtful urban design.

I have been involved with monitoring wetlands for the Tennessee State Mitigation Program. This involved identifying and collecting information of the vegetation surrounding the streams and within the easements. Also, my responsibilities included surveying the projects to create profiles and cross sections to analyze the changes to the streams over time.

I learned what it was like to be on a variety of projects including institutional, storm water management and recreational projects. I have gained experience in permitting, reading plan drawings, using software such as microstation and autocad. Also how to communicate between coworkers to get tasks completed.

I worked full time as a manager of the resource library. Also I worked on the database for the Navigation branch of the Operations division which compiled all of the data from the daily dredging operations done in the Baltimore Harbor. I completed site visits to several projects including dredge reclamation sites which taught me about the importance of dredge and how it can be used in the landscape.

I worked as a clerk which involved the tasks of doing small reports and research for the Regulatory Department. Also, I gained experience by going on site visits and learning the local, state and national laws regarding the environment.
