I am a Senior Auditor with Wells Fargo Audit Services at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. My team is comprised of roughly 130 auditors and focuses on the Wealth and Investment Management division. I work on audit engagements as well as project audits, which often have a longer lifespan than a general engagement. Working with project teams and lines of business, I analyze banking processes, test and evaluate controls, as well as, monitor and manage issues and action items to completion. This role was held within Domestic Trade Settlements. I specialized in DTC and Fed trading settlement, as well as trade correction processing. Each of these was considered a separate function on a separate desk. The team rotated processing desks monthly to ensure equal opportunity to grow and develop, as well as provide flexibility for staffing and servicing needs.

Having started in my freshman year at UMD, I began as a dishwasher. Spent a year or so before I began taking on more roles and responsibilities. For a period of time I was dishwashing, prep cooking, expo, and a line-cook at different points throughout an average work week. Transitioned to a full-time line-cook then to a delivery driver after purchasing a car. Beyond the quality of this company is the quality of its employees. My official position was as a cashier but often times I would double as an effective sales associate knowledgeable of a wide variety of the products offered and the relevant protection plans that could be applied to them as extended warranties. On average, I was selling anywhere from 40-60+ protection plans each month. I was also successful at selling protection plans with quality brands such as Honda that customers often didn't purchase protection plans with due to the reliability of the brand itself.

I sat customers and helped servers clear/prepare tables for the next people to be seated.
