As a Manager Trainee my responsibilities are to assist the Customer Accounts Manager in managing and handling customer accounts. Customer service and relations is a must. Building a working relationship with the customers makes for a much easier and manageable job. A lot of patience and problem solving skills are needed as decisions are often required to be made in the field on a moments notice. There is a lot of paperwork in accounts management and the ability to be accurate and efficient are a must. Secondary responsibilities include making furniture deliveries as needed as well as sales management in the absence of the sales manager.

Care and maintenance of household retail product, including pre-leased product. Included a lot of organization with the warehouse, as the "PT" is left mostly responsible for it, as well as a lot of quality testing and restoring of products. A good portion of the job is also delivery of retail product. Customer service is a must since you must be in the field often dealing with customers as they see their product coming off the truck.

Shift Leader/management. Responsibilities included training and monitoring employees, problem solving, keeping track of sales and labor costs, adjusting the schedule, reconciling the register and matching it to computer sales numbers, taking nightly deposit to bank, making sure the store was clean and closing up and securing the store.
